51. Different Man Offers Different Kind of Love, Can You See?

When someone sacrifices his life just for my sake because he loves me, that's when I love him back. That's because his love is so pure and he's proven it well. I've always wanted someone who loves only me, nobody else.

What kind of love would you have?

Synopsis
From New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Rhys Bowen comes a haunting novel about a woman who braves her father’s hidden past to discover his secrets…

“Pass the bread, the olives, and the wine. Oh, and a copy of The Tuscan Child to savor with them.” —NPR

In 1944, British bomber pilot Hugo Langley parachuted from his stricken plane into the verdant fields of German-occupied Tuscany. Badly wounded, he found refuge in a ruined monastery and in the arms of Sofia Bartoli. But the love that kindled between them was shaken by an irreversible betrayal.

Nearly thirty years later, Hugo’s estranged daughter, Joanna, has returned home to the English countryside to arrange her father’s funeral. Among his personal effects is an unopened letter addressed to Sofia. In it is a startling revelation.

Still dealing with the emotional wounds of her own personal trauma, Joanna embarks on a healing journey to Tuscany to understand her father’s history—and maybe come to understand herself as well. Joanna soon discovers that some would prefer the past be left undisturbed, but she has come too far to let go of her father’s secrets now…

50. Why I Prefer Matchmaking By Parents When It Comes to Finding A Life Partner

If you're single, would you be okay if your parents match you with their friend's son / daughter?

Some of you might say no, some others might say probably, I'd say definitely. My goal would be to get my parents to match me with someone they know. That way, I'm certain my partner would come from a good family, I would also know where to go when I have complaints, and who to blame if the marriage didn't work out.

Mom, this book is a gift for you.
Now, you can start looking...
Coz I'm waiting...

mm..?
Oh, of course I would also read this book, Mom
I read it so I would align with you on the process

49. Important Surviving Skill: Be Interesting and Fun But Boring At The Same Time

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"

For me though, when life gives me lemons, sometimes I don't know how to make that delicious lemonade. Mind you, I'm not forgetful (well, sometimes... okay), but I just don't know the answer, don't know how, JUST DON'T KNOW, OKAY.

So, I'd just wait until the lemons rot. I mean I won't do anything, I wait until the time is right, and I know my way around, and I have a clear vision of the decisions I'm about to make, then I'd make my decision and move on.

Sometimes too, when you look back, those hurdles you faced a long time ago have become so hilarious now.

Like in SAW movie, if only...
All participants stayed there, not doing anything...
They accepted their fate just like that...
There won't be a SAW movie, because they're just too boring
Wicked is Bad
Boring is Good

48. Passing Interview Tests, Get Into A Giant Evil Company, Lose Dignity and Competitive Advantage, End Up Unemployed

When we apply for a job, normally we need to pass interview tests with a high-ranking employee, HRD officer, and the big boss. Several questions test whether we fit the company's culture. Several questions tests whether we have the capability we mentioned in our CVs. Sometimes, the high-ranking officer asks the interviewee about things that he himself doesn't know the answer. He's just checking if the candidate is of better quality than him.

If the candidate turns out to be better, he proceeds to check if the candidate is willing to share his / her knowledge, meaning, teach the supervisor how to do things better. Furthermore, if the candidate is pure enough, the interviewer tests if the candidate will teach the entire company for free without even realising that the entire company is out to capture his / her skills before they kick him / her out later.

Sometimes, interviews may also be just a way to get information about current market trends. They'd only interview candidates who have experienced working with larger companies. Then, as the loser in this situation, what would the interviewee do to pass this interview tests, ethically and professionally?

Surely, for beautiful candidates, the company may hire her, just so that their precious employee (or boss) acquire new victim for his thirst to taste new girls.

Good Luck, People
