91. Role Model to Follow

Synopsis

A clever King and his brilliant chronicle keeper hunt for the truth behind a crime that threatens the throne and the stability of the country.

Genres Comedy, Mystery
Director Hyun-Sung Moon
Starring Sun-kyun Lee, Jae-hong Ahn,
Hie-won Kim

I don't see many movies that solve many difficult cases in one go. I love this movie because the King seemed to be kind, just, and wise. He was a real role model for his people.

I do love Sherlock Homes, but he solved one case in one book, or one season, or one movie. Detective Conan solved one case in at least one episode.

I say, this movie is highly recommended because it gets you to think and to become wiser. I don't want to say this is a must watch, because it kinda requires you to watch it and get wiser. I'll just recommend it so I'd appear humble and I can have the option to be the wisest in this real world.

90. Your Dark Side

Synopsis

Reality and illusion blur in this Washington Post bestseller that Michael Connelly calls “a hundred percent adrenaline rush disguised as a detective novel.”

Nicki Pearl is the perfect daughter—every parent’s dream. And that of strangers, too. Wherever she goes, she’s being watched. Each stalker is different from the last, except for one thing—their alarming obsession with Nicki.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Nicki’s father is turning to someone who can protect her: retired private detective and ex–Navy SEAL Jon Lancaster. Teaming up with FBI agent and former abduction victim Beth Daniels, Lancaster can help—his way. He’s spent most of his career dispatching creeps who get off on terrorizing the vulnerable. Unlicensed, and unrestricted, he plays dirty…But this case is unusual. Why so many men? Why this one girl? Does Nicki have something to hide? Or do her parents?

Trawling the darkest depths of southern Florida, Lancaster faces a growing tide of secrets and deception. And the deeper he digs, the more he realizes that finding the truth won’t be easy. Because there’s more to this case than meets the eye.

Everyone has a dark side. Everyone has made wrong decisions before. Sometimes that bad decision turns out to be good, and sometimes it's just another life lesson.

Every single second is about making decisions, from whether or not we wake up in the morning, until whether or not we sleep tonight. There are times when we are forced to make a bad decision we're not proud of, which may haunt us later in life. I think even good decision can haunt us, some people might get hurt because of what we think as a good decision and they're asking for payback.

When people come and ask for a piece of you, would you give it to them, or would you be firm and defend yourself to the end even if you lose everything you have? I believe you won't give in that easily, but what if they follow you and hunt you, demanding something they think is taken away from them?

I don't owe them anything, you do, man...
You settle the matter with them yourself

89. Angry with Too Many "Yeah"

Lyric

Girls Like You
Singer: Maroon 5 ft. Cardi B

Spent 24 hours
I need more hours with you
You spent the weekend
Getting even, ooh ooh
We spent the late nights
Making things right, between us
But now it's all good baby
Roll that Backwood baby
And play me close

'Cause girls like you
Run around with guys like me
'Til sundown, when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Girls like you
Love fun, yeah me too
What I want when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

I spent last night
On the last flight to you
Took a whole day up
Trying to get way up, ooh ooh
We spent the daylight
Trying to make things right between us
And now it's all good baby
Roll that Backwood baby
And play me close

'Cause girls like you
Run around with guys like me
'Til sundown, when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Maybe it's 6:45
Maybe I'm barely alive
Maybe you've taken my shit for the last time, yeah
Maybe I know that I'm drunk
Maybe I know you're the one
Maybe I'm thinking it's better if you drive

I'm not allowed to say nasty words, like fu.., da.., sh.., etc. People are so creative they even discovered words related to mothers, like mother fufu, etc. Sometimes you just need those words, but you can't say them, but you need to express the feeling through those words.

My approach is to use "Yea yea" as the replacement word. One "yea yea" for one word. So whenever someone takes her dog and poo poo in front of my house, like she's the mighty God, I'd say to her, "Hey, you're too rude! Why don't you do that in the park just there? You dirty disgusting yeayea mother yeayea!!!"

You! Yeayea!

How come now I feel mentally degraded?

88. Annoying Mom, She's Too Loud

Synopsis

In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

Genres Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi
Director John Krasinski
Starring Emily Blunt, John Krasinski,
Millicent Simmonds

I love quiet place. I love being quiet. I love it when everyone's quiet.
I've always given my mind a quiet time so it could think clearly without interruptions. I love to give my boyfriend a quiet time so he would feel guilty and love me more. I love to give my Mom a quiet time so she could have her own private moment.

I always try to be quiet, to feel relax, and finally asleep at any one time during the day. Yes, I love to hang around the bed, being so quiet, and doze. That's why my Mom never leaves me alone. She's so annoying.

87. Rewriting Everything Reveals Your Insecurities About Everything

Synopsis
The newest thriller in the #1 New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and #1 Publishers Weekly bestselling series!

Across Europe, a secret organization has begun attacking diplomats. Back in the United States, a foreign ally demands the identity of a highly placed covert asset. In the balance hang the ingredients for all-out war.

With his mentor out of the game, counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath must take on the role he has spent his career avoiding. But, as with everything else he does, he intends to rewrite the rules—all of them.

In Spymaster, Scot Harvath is more cunning, more dangerous, and deadlier than ever before.

If you have never read a Brad Thor novel, this is the place to start!

I wonder why he had to rewrite the rules.
When you're the government official, you can't change rules easily. You need to undergo through several steps so all parties involved are at least informed and well aware of the situations. Otherwise you'll confuse people, confuse the civilians and you'll fail to maintain order.

Take for example you're an FBI agent. You can't change traffic lights because you want to chase some bad guys. You need authorisation from your supervisor, the police officer at the area, the civilians so they won't do anything to jeopardise your mission and / or harm themselves.

Let's say you're a staff at the Ministry of Education and you want to change how children should be educated in your country. Maybe you want to add self-protection subject so your country could have less criminal incidents report.

Then, you want to change English subject to Communication subject. Then, you want to combine Math and Physics to Left-Brain Development subject. I know this is absurd but can you imagine the massive impact?

I always worry I pick a wrong man for my husband. I worry that I'd be weak when I'm married. I worry that my husband wouldn't stand me no more and decided to torture me for his satisfaction.

I could say, "Why would you do this to me, husband? You said you love me and that's why I marry you!"

I imagined my husband would reply, "Yes, and you didn't even bother to get to know me well enough to see this is how I get angry, so angry at you! You agreed when I asked your hand in marriage anyway. That's when I got you on my web, forever! Haha!"

This is when I should ask if he wants children from our marriage. If he said yes, I would proceed to show off my kinky side and be pregnant. Surely after the baby is born, I would put it in the fridge so it becomes our children FOREVAH!!! Muahahaha!!!

Of course, if he doesn't want any children, I would refuse to see him ever again. I'll let him cheat on me. It's fine.

That's why children question is so important long before marriage. I also require an official statement on paper.

I used to want my children to grow up smart, clever, the top of the class. I want my children to be geniuses because then, they'd be safe, as they know how to tackle any problems that may come up in their life.

I used to want my children to be close to me. I want my children to be good for their sake. I want my children to get home schooling. I want my children to grow up in front of me.

I was so afraid they'd get bad influences if they go to public school. I was so afraid people might hurt them so bad, they'd fail in life. I was so afraid the children were too naive to take care of themselves being away from me.

Now, I don't think it matters anymore. They have their own life, and I'm just an angel for them. I'd guide them, I'd lead them, I'd help them, but in the end, it's their life.

An emotional page-turner that will take your breath away. Perfect for fans of Jodi Picoult, Lisa Wingate and Kerry Fisher.

I've always thought that taking children to public places before they could take care of themselves is a bit irresponsible.

Kids going to school shouldn't cross the road, even with teacher's guidance. It's too dangerous for children to roam anywhere alone. They should be at home. Studying should be at home. Playing should be at home. Shopping for toys should also be at home.

Then, I wonder how mothers would shop for daily needs, because she has to take care of the entire household, not just the baby (babies). Really, being a Mom is a huge huge step.

Then, when children die on accidents...
